A Case of Dermatomyositis

Abstract
|
|
|
Dermatomyositis is a systemic inflammatory disease involving skeletal muscle and skin of unknown etiology and pathogenesis. The prognosis is unpredictable and major causes of death are pulmonary, renal, and cardia complications.
A-36-yeas old woman had suffered from swollen pinkish-violaceous discoloration on the eyelids(heliotroe erythema) and flat-topped papules over the knuckle pads(Gottron's papules) and weakness and tenderness of proximal muscles of extremities.
Despite of
systemic corticosteroid treatment, She expired due to pulmonary complication.
